Major Collaborative Research Initiative

A Major Collaborative Research Initiative (MCRI) is a research project funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. The purpose of the MCRI program is to support "leading edge research with true potential for intellectual breakthrough that addresses broad and critical issues of intellectual, social, economic and cultural significance through the effective coordination and integration of diverse research activities and research results."
