- Bookbuilders of Boston
Bookbuilders of Boston, founded in 1937, is a nonprofit professional organization of people working in the allied fields of book publishing. This include editors, graphic designers, typographers, and individuals working in the printing, binding, and marketing of books.
Bookbuilders of Boston offers workshops and seminars on topics including editorial development and design, and production from design through binding. Workshops address new printing technologies and foster dialog between designers, publishers, and printers.
The organization sponsors and presents the New England Book Show, a juried exhibition recognizing each year's best work in book design, typography and printing. The exhibition culminates in the awarding of the Dwiggins Award, named in memory of the New England based book designer and typeface designer
