Life Cycle

As an adult you can find the Silver-spotted Skipper in fields, gardens and at forest edges. The wingspan of an adult is 43-67mm. It's range consist of southern Canada throughout most of the United States, it is absent in the Great Basin and western Texas.

They fly throughout the summer and have 1-2 broods each season.

The caterpillar has a large, brown head with 2 orange dots, mimicking eyes. It's body is long and narrow with a green body.
