The station has been silent since December 22, 2007. In a letter to Pine Hills Broadcasting dated July 9, 2008 the FCC granted a Special Temporary Authority for the station to remain silent. History
The station went on the air as WZKO on April 1, 1984. On November 1, 1993 the station changed its call sign to the current WRIL.
