Valcour Records is an independent record label based in Eunice, Louisiana. Valcour was founded in 2006 by Musician and instrument builder, Joel Savoy (son of Marc Savoy and Ann Savoy), and friends Lucius Fontenot and Phillip LaFargue II. The label was created for the purpose of recording and distributing the music of undiscovered talent in South Louisiana. Valcour Records' first release in 2006 was "Goin' Down to Louisiana" [ [http://www.valcourrecords.com/2006/04/20/goin-down-to-louisiana-2/ Goin Down to Louisiana at valcourrecords.com] ] , by fiddle player Cedric Watson and accordionist Corey Ledet.

Valcour has since released albums with Louisiana bands such as the Figs and Feufollet. Through Cajun and Creole Drinking songs compilation," Allons Boire un Coup" [ [http://www.theind.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=146&Itemid=73 The Independent Weekly - www.theind.com - Lafayette, LA] ] (2007), the label has also featured the Pine Leaf Boys, Ann Savoy, Steve Riley and Racines, The Red Stick Ramblers, the Lost Bayou Ramblers, and Balfa heir Courtney Granger.

In 2007, Valcour partnered with independent distributor Select-O-Hits [ [http://www.selectohits.com/catalog/results/?genre=&label=VCR&search_string=&search=Search Select-O-Hits - National Independent Distribution] ] for nation-wide distribution.
