"Abhirami" is a popular South Indian actress. She acted in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. She started her career as a TV anchor for the program "Top Ten" aired on Asianet Channel. She acted in a small role in a Malayalam film "Pathram" in 1999. Later she acted in hit films like "Millennium Stars", "Njangal Santhushtaraanu", "Sraddha" etc.

She acted opposite top actors in Malayalam film industry including Superstar Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi, Jayaram etc. Later she shifted to Kollywood starring in films like "Middle Class Madhavan", "Samudhiram" etc. She acted opposite Prabhu Ganesan, Sharath Kumar, Arjun etc in Tamil. Her first Tamil film was "Vanavil" opposite Arjun.The biggest film of her career is Virumaandi opposite Acting Legend Kamal Hassan. She won lot of critical accolades for the role she portrayed in the film. Unfortunately, she lost her charm in all the four languages in spite of becoming a SuperHeroine. Personal Life

She was born on 26 July, 1981 to S. Gopikumar and Pushpa Gopikumar in Chennai,Tamil Nadu . She was raised in Trivandrum, Kerala. She is fluent in both Tamil and Malayalam. She did her schooling at Christ Nagar English High School and College Studies from Mar Ivanious College, Trivandrum.
