Lady Margaret's Professor of Divinity atCambridge University . Society for New Testament Studies - SNTS), the international society of New Testament scholars. "For nine years he was Editor of the journalNew Testament Studies and of the associated monograph series, both published byCambridge University Press and considered to be the leaders in the field. He is a General Editor of theInternational Critical Commentaries , for over 100 years the leading set of commentaries in English on theBible . He has lectured widely in the English-speaking world, and also in Europe."Because of his contribution to
