Brazil ian drummer,currently playing forBrazilian Thrash metal bandTorture Squad .He is known for his speed and technique.He plays open handed,playing thehi-hat cymbals with his left hand,and is a skillful user ofblast beats .Amílcar is endorsed by ADAH Drums and Orion Cymbals.Biography
He started playing at the age of 14. His brother bought a seven pieced drum kit in 1991 and Amílcar used to sit on the throne and try a few beats.One day,he was invited to join Reasons To Heaven,which had today's
Torture Squad lead singer,Vitor Rodrigues as lead singer.He played with "Reasons To Heaven" until 1992.He started to listen to a lot of metal bands, specially thrash/death metal such as Slayer, Coroner, Morbid Angel, Deicide,etc.Then,an aggressive,fast and heavy way of drumming had finally been set as his style.
In 1992,he was invited by
Torture Squad 's former guitarist Cristiano Fusco to join the band,and he's been playing withTorture Squad since then.His biggest influences are
Dave Lombardo ,Pete Sandoval ,Gene Hoglan ,Nicko McBrain ,Neil Peart ,Mike Portnoy ,Mikkey Dee ,etc. and alsoJazz andBlues drummers,due to their feeling and skill.Torture Squad Discography
