Batadombalena

Batadombalena is one of world historic archeological site with evidence of 28,000 BC over , Balangoda People. Located in 85 Km from Colombo in Sri Lanka.2 hour drive from Colombo.

Batadombalena is one of the archeological site located in Sri Lanka ,to proof clearly [http://archaeology.about.com/od/oterms/g/outofafrica.htm "out of Africa" hypothesis] said by Professor Paul Mellars, a [http://www.arch.cam.ac.uk/ Cambridge University archaeologist] .He has revealed remarkable cultural and technological similarities that suggest a common origin.

At the same time he modernized Balangoda People were in Batadombalena after they found stone tools that may have been arrow- or spearheads, and carefully shaped and perforated beads made from fragments of ostrich eggshell. A further piece of ostrich eggshell, incised with a distinctive criss-cross motif, has also been found.

Batadombalena Cave is roughly 50ftx60ftx80ft.
