Ryan Clay Hawley is an Irish historian at the University of Notre Dame, and writes for the advice group "Ask Ryan".

Early Life

Ryan Hawley was born in Los Angeles and raised in a traditional immigrant Irish family. These Irish roots inspired Hawley to pursue his studies in Irish history, language, and culture. Irish material did not comprise all of his interests, however. His affinity for (and resemblance to) WALRI captivated him; so much so that he was named "The Walrus" by his peers.

Irish Historian

Hawley has a reputation as a well-versed Irish historian. He has studied the Ireland's land, people, and cultures for years and has made many controversial assertions regarding the nation. Some of these controversies include his determining of the "True birthday of Ireland".
