Paul Michael Warner is an American attorney who is Chairman of the Attorney General's Advisory Committee of U.S. Attorneys. He received a B.A. in English in 1973 from Brigham Young University and a J.D. from the institution's J. Reuben Clark Law School three years later. He later returned to his alma mater to earn an MPA from the university's Marriott School of Management in 1984. Before assuming his current position as Chairman of the Attorney General's Advisory Committee of U.S. Attorneys, Warner served as a trial lawyer for the U.S. Navy and in several positions within the Utah Attorney General’s office. In 1998 Warner was nominated by President Bill Clinton to be U.S. Attorney for the District of Utah, and he was one of only two U.S. Attorneys to be retained by President George W. Bush.
