A.R.E. Accessories is an American company based in Massillon, Ohio that manufactures and distributes fiberglass truck caps and tonneau covers along with aluminum commercial units.

History

In 1969, Sal Gatti and his friend Jonas Yoder had a vision to create fashionable truck caps and A.R.E. was born. The name A.R.E. pre-dates the current company, but comes from the three first names of Sal Gatti's three children, Anne Marie, Ralph, and Elizabeth.

A.R.E. originally produced aluminum recreational truck caps, but in 1979 they began producing Deluxe Commercial Units (DCU), an aluminum cap based for the commercial workforce.

In 1982 A.R.E. worked with a sister company to begin manufacturing fiberglass truck caps. In the late 1980s they began the process of painting caps using an automotive base coat / clear coat system.

In 1995 A.R.E. opened their state of the art 256,000 square foot facility in Massillon, Ohio. The plant produces more truck caps and covers than any other, and is the most environmentally conscious manufacturing facility in the industry.

A.R.E. Today

A.R.E. continues to produce their fiberglass caps and covers and aluminum DCU's in a way that supports the original ideals of the company. With over 600 authorized A.R.E. dealers, it is not very difficult to find a location to purchase one of these products. A.R.E still manufactures products out of the original plant in Mt. Eaton, Ohio, and at the company's headquarters plant in Massillon, Ohio, and uses a new distribution hub opened in Fernley, Nevada.

Product Line

A.R.E. offers many different selections within truck caps and tonneau covers. Their extensive product line is as follows:

Truck Caps: Z-Series, CX-Series, MX-Series, V-Series, TW-Series, and the Aluminum DCU

A.R.E. also offers many types of accessories other complementary products:

BedRug, BedSlide, KargoMaster Racks, Wade Tailgate Protectors, Sportz Truck/SUV Tents, SuperNet, PropLight, TrailSeal, and many more.

Outfit For Life

A.R.E.'s slogan, Outfit For Life, demonstrates the usefulness of the products they manufacture. The caps and covers can be used in many every day experiences such as shopping, golfing, hunting, fishing, or yard work.
