John Laidley

John Laidley

John Laidley (born 1791, Morgantown; died 1863, West Virginia) was a prominent Virginia lawyer and politician who was one of the founders of Marshall University in 1837. The part of Virginia where Marshall University is located is now part of West Virginia.
