PolandVoivodeship Kuyavian-Pomeranian County Tuchola Gmina Tuchola Population 110 Nowa Tuchola [ˈnɔva tuˈxɔla] (German: Neu Tuchel) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Tuchola, within Tuchola County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-central Poland. It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) south of Tuchola and 53 km (33 mi) north of Bydgoszcz.
The village has a population of 110.
Massacre during Second World War
During the German Invasion of Poland in 1939, members of German minority from Selbstschutz on 30 September murdered 48 people in the village, including 2 Poles and 46 Jews. The vicitms were collected also from neighbouring villages. Among the Germans following names were identified: Bratsch Helmut, Briske Hans, Walter Klos, Merten-Feddler Kurt, Muller Willy[1].
