(1985)"I Hear Talk" is a single by UK pop group Bucks Fizz.
Released in December 1984 the song was written by Andy Hill and
Peter Sinfield - the team responsible for the group's biggest hit in the UK, "The Land of Make Believe ". [ [http://www.songsouponsea.com/Promenade/lyrics/Works80s.html Peter Sinfield site] ] [ [http://www.songsouponsea.com/Promenade/lyrics/IHearTalk.html "I Hear Talk" lyrics] ] It was also produced by Hill. The release co-incided with a much-publisized coach crash the group experienced the same week. While the group were on tour, their tour bus collided with road works and careered off the road and injured the members of the group as well their entourage. Member Mike Nolan was badly injured and the group were inactive for several months. [ [http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/music/4445173.stm bbc.co.uk - coach crash mention] ] As a result of this, promotion for the single was minimal and the song failed to chart as highly as had been expected, reaching No.34 in the UK Charts, despite it being seen as one of their strongest ever songs. Promotional Video for the song before the accident, which featured the group performing the song in a snowy location as well as against a black background. 12" version of the song was also released.Over the next two years, the song became a popular Club hit and featured on the US Club Charts - the group's only American success. [ [http://www.ianbairnson.com/discography/bucksfizzheartalk/bucksfizzheartalk.htm Guitarist Ian Bairnson site] ]
