Saudi-Egypt Causeway

The whole connection - causeway and bridge is expected to cost about $4b and could be completed by 2012.

The structure does not yet include railway lines.

Go Ahead

Route

The causeway would link Ras Humaid in the northern Saudi region of Tabuk to the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh and would pass through Tiran Island at the entrance of the Gulf of Aqaba.
