Jonathan Newman is a British filmmaker and writer.

Jonathan Newman made his first feature film at the age of 25. Being Considered starred James Dreyfus and Dr Who's David Tennant He is credited as an assisted author of the The Guerilla Filmmakers Handbook.

He owns a film company called Serendipity based at Ealing Studios.

Early years

Newman was born in London, England to Israeli and South African parents. He moved to Los Angeles when he was 5, where he quickly got a passion for films and filmmaking.

Newman returned to the UK after 8 years with his family.

He 1990 he attended Brandeis University. In 1994 he completed a masters degree at The Northern film School in Leeds.
