Peruvian Australian (Spanish: "Peruano Australiano") is an Australian with ancestry from Peru.

History

Peruvians settled Australia as refugees escaping the earthquake in 1960s and dictatorial government of Juan Velasco Alvarado in 1970s.

Ethnic composition of Peruvian Australians

Most Peruvian Australians are mestizos and whites of mostly Spanish blood. The most important white Peruvian Australians are of British ancestry, among them speak English natively with British accent. Like Australia, Peruvians have also Chinese and Japanese ethnicities.
