- Amr Ellissy
Amr Ellissy is an Egyptian television and radio celebrity. Working as a journalist, he is double qualified; graduated from the Faculty of Law, Cairo university, followed by graduation from the Higher Institute of Arts, Direction Section.
Before being a T.V. presenter , he was the executive director of the London- based MBC ,a privatearabian T.V channel in 1991. Then, he started his preparation and presentation of a weekly T.V. political program at the Egyptian State Television " Ekhterak "in 2001.. it is a political documentary program , and some of its episodes were concerned with history documentation of important world events.. The program was awarded "Best viewed" three times since its start.He started other political interactive programs at other private channels [ besides his at the Egypt State T.V. ] ,as the OTV Channel and AlSaa [ Lebanese ] Channel ,where he is preparing and presenting now a weekly talk show called {Moagha= Confrontation] He is the Editor-in-Chief of a weekly liberal Egyptian Newspaper : Elkhamis, which has been issued since 1996.
He is a member of a number of Non governmental organizations ,and the chairman of "Nahdet Misr"society. Currently, he is a councilor at the Culture and tourism committee ,Egyptian Parliament. Also , he is currently presenting a weekly radio program at the Egyptian State Radio [Middle East Broadcasting Channel] .
He is also a lecturer at the Higher Institute of Art Criticism and the International Academy of Media Science.
He has been awarded the high - ranked prize of "Mostafa &Ali Amin for Journalism ,2008" .At the same year , he established his own prize to be dedicated,on a yearly basis, to the distinguished student of Faculty of Media Science ,
Cairo University .He is the author of 3 books , and recently , preparing to issue his investigative documentary book about the mysterious death of
