Lower caption = U.S. 12-inch single cover"Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi" is apop music song written by British production team Stock Aitken and Waterman forKylie Minogue 's debutalbum "Kylie" (1988). It was produced by Stock, Aitken and Waterman, and received a mixed reception from music critics. The song was released as the fourth single in the winter of 1988 and was a top hit in theUnited Kingdom , debuting at number eleven before climbing to number two and remaining there for three weeks. In theUnited States andAustralia the song was also known as "I Still Love You (Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi)". The song's title is French for "I Don't Know Why"."Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi" was supposed to be released as a double A-side with "Made in Heaven", but it performed so well on its own that the plans to release it as a double A-side single were changed. "Made in Heaven" was released as the single's
B-side and also was written and produced by Stock, Aitken and Waterman. A remix of the song was included on many of the single releases. A promotional video was produced for "Made in Heaven", which might explain its inclusion on the "Greatest Hits 1987-1997 " compilation. The video solely involves Minogue dancing in front of abluescreen with images of her previous four videos sampled behind her. She was surrounded by a halo of light and it was the last video before she began to routinely involve dancers and choreographed routines in her videos and performances. She performed "Made in heaven" at the "Royal Variety Performance" in front of the Queen Mother, and introduced it as her 'New song' following her performance of "I should be so lucky".Formats and track listings
