Bob Wiacek (b. January 7, 1953) [ [http://www.comicbookdb.com/creator.php?ID=511 Biography on the Comic Book Database.] Retrieved August 26, 2008.] is an American comic book artist, working primarily as an inker.

Wiacek is known for his partnerships with Carmine Infantino on "Star Wars", John Romita Jr. on the "Uncanny X-Men", June Brigman on "Power Pack", John Byrne on "Sensational She-Hulk", and Walt Simonson on "X-Factor" and "Orion". Recently, he inked George Pérez's pencils on "Brave and the Bold", volume 2. Though his inking is not flashy, Wiacek is speedy, and is adept at bringing out the best qualities of the penciler's work.

Wiacek got his start in the mid-1970s as a member of the "Crusty Bunkers" inking collective. For a short time in 1975–1976 he inked backgrounds (over Curt Swan's pencils) on "Superman" for DC Comics. He moved on to regular inking work for DC, and then in 1978 began a long association with Marvel, where he has worked with such artists as Brigman, Bob Budiansky, Byrne, Colleen Doran, Ron Garney, Mike Grell, Infantino, Mike Nasser, Kevin Nowlan, Don Perlin, Romita Jr., Bill Sienkiewicz, Simonson, and Barry Windsor-Smith. Over the years, Wiacek has also inked comics published by Dark Horse and Valiant.

Wiacek attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City from 1971–1974. He taught first-year students at the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art for a brief period in the early 1990s. [ [http://www.linkedin.com/ppl/webprofile?id=16245412 Wiacek's LinkedIn profile.] ]
