high school located inWarrensburg, Missouri . The address of the school is 1411 S. Ridgeview Dr. The school was built in1987 as a successor to Sterling Elementary School (Formerly known as Warrensburg High School) It is the second newestpublic school in Warrensburg after Warrensburg Middle School was built in1995 . It is part of the Warrensburg R-VI school district.Student Population
Nearly 1,400 students ranging from grades 9-12 attend the high school. Many classes are offered to the students advantages. Many students at the school are participants in many school activities and associations also. Warrensburg High is an A+ school with a diverse study range. All of the students at Warrensburg High School are known to call a special parking lot for students "The Pit".
Athletics
Warrensburg High is classified as a 4H school by the
MSHSAA . Thesports at the high school include:football ,tennis ,soccer ,basketball ,golf ,bowling ,swimming ,wrestling , andtrack and field . These athletic disciplines have freshman teams, junior-varsity, and varsity teams. Some rival schools includeRaymore-Peculiar High School (Missouri) , Harrisonville High School, andSmith-Cotton High School (Sedalia, Missouri). The officialmascot of the school is thetiger (Warrensburg Tigers) and the official colors arered andwhite , however, colors such asmaroon (deep red) andblack have also been widely associated.Academics
Warrensburg High offers many courses in the areas of
science ,math ,business ,art ,technology , andmusic to the students that attend the school. Many of the courses includeAdvanced Placement (AP) classes, and honors classes that benefit successful students looking to explore rigorous academic disciplines such asPhysics ,Chemistry ,Trigonometry /Math Analysis, andCalculus . Manyteachers at the school teach their classes at an advanced level. TheSpanish language program is quite popular at the school also. There are 3 Spanish teachers that have their own hallway in thebasement of the school. The school also offers dual-credit options in the areas of Spanish, French,Finance , and many other science and math courses.Credits

The traditional
valedictorian andsalutatorian awards were officially discontinued after the graduating class of 2008. The awards will be replaced with "university-like" honors such as Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Cum Laude starting with the class of 2009.Special Privileges
At the end of each semester, students are given the privilege to exempt finals in some of their classes. To be eligible, the student has to meet these requirements: no office referrals, good citizenship, a passing grade in the class that the final is going to be exempt, and a teacher and parent signature. Also, based on good grades the school issues a card called a yellow card. The yellow card allows free access to school events, dances, and days to be exempted.
