Early life
Malik Ghulam Yasin Chhina belongs to a family of jut. His main cast is Jut & Sub Cast is Chhina & because of belonging to a small landlord family. He is known as Malik.
Chhina is basically a Sikh family with good height & physical structure. They are landlords but of barren lands. This family is one of the first families of Sikh which adopted Islam. Malik Ghulam Yasin Chhina family lives in Patti Blonde (Near Mankera – District Bhakkar).
Patti Bulanda is basically a land of deserts. These barren deserts totally depend upon natural rains only. The main crop of this area is chana which don’t need so much water to grow. Only rains are enough for growing. A very poor & totally uneducated area till now. No proper school & other basic necessities of life. You can easily concluded the ignorance of Government of all times that the Basic Health Unit of this are is nearly 26 km away. If medical facility is so much far then you can expect the condition & standard of education & other basic needs. Patti Bulanda has many Ghost School only one school exist on this earth which has totally uneducated teacher which are employed by political government. They get the pay regularly but not go to school. Because of these reasons the area is 98% illiterate till 2008.
One of the chhina family migrated from Patti Bulanda to Bhakkar to get rid of starvation because that year the rains did not come. That time Bhakkar was also like patti Blunda but have little business. This family started carrying & loading chana bags & with the passage of time a little shop of purchasing & selling the chana crops. The family doesn’t have other resources inspire of having barren lands. In these family Javen Bux was eldest brother which married with the girl Pattani of his family as per tradition. She born 5 sons & 2 daughters. M.G.Y was the eldest son of Javen Bux family who born in 1941. Javan Bux was an uneducated person but have a spirit that his children should be educated after seeing that some people are started education in Bhakkar. Malik Ghulam Yasin Chhina get admission in Chah Chimni School Bhakkar. After 5th Class, he got admission in Govt. High School, Bhakkar and completed his matric from here. He was so much inspired from these schools that when Malik Ghulam Yasin Chhina own children was grow up then all his children get their matric from these schools in spite of many other private & Govt School. He was good sports man. Because his family was totally uneducated, so he tried to put his family gathering on the way of education. He started studying all his brothers, sisters & cousins because he was the eldest in that new generation. For the family member, it was a strange & new way so some of his cousins leave the studies. But he strictly bound his under influenced youngsters who were his brothers & sisters.
After matric, there was no any college at Bhakkar because the district was Mianwali & college was situated there. He gets admission in G.C Mianwali & did F.sc there. After this he wanted to go to Punjab university for higher education but his father was unable to support him but when he watch his enthusiasm towards studies, he put his weapon down & send his to Punjab university. Malik Ghulam Yasin Chhina says that it was the bitter experience of my life that when I see the tears in my parent’s eyes when I was leaving them & go to Lahore. He gets B.sc from Punjab University in 1963. He was one of first B.sc in Bhakkar city. He joined his Govt. High School Bhakkar as teacher. After this he pass test appointed as ASI in police with this statement
