Anupama Niranjana

Anupama Niranjana

Anupama Niranjana (Kannada:ಅನುಪಮಾ ನಿರಂಜನ ) was a writer of modern Kannada fiction. She advocated the woman's point of view and was one among such writers in Kannada, which includes others like Triveni and M. K. Indira. Her novel Runmuktalu has been made into a movie as well.

Early life

Her birthname is Venkatalakshmi. She had married to a Kannada writer Niranjan from a different caste. Their children are Tejaswini and Srimanthini. By profession, Anupama Niranjana was a physician. She died of a cancer disease.
