Alexander Belostenny

Alexander Belostenny (born February 24, 1959 in Odessa, Ukrainian SSR, USSR) is an Ukrainian retired basketball player. He was a member of Soviet national team from 1977 to 1992, except only one competition, EuroBasket 1987. As a player of the Soviet national team, Belostenny won 3 gold medals at Eurobasket 1979, Eurobasket 1981, Eurobasket 1985, 1 gold medal at 1988 Olympics and 1 bronze at 1980 Olympics. In addition, he is one of the top medalists in FIBA World Championship having 4 medals, 1 gold (1982) and 3 silver (1978, 1986, 1990). In his last years of his career he played for German club HERZOGtel Trier, where he compete also in Korac Cup.
