Walid ibn al-Mughira

Walid ibn Mughira ( _ar. الوليد بن المغيرة) was the chief of the Banu Makhzum clan of the Quraish Tribe. His clan was responsible for warfare, and he was wealthy. These two factors combined to make him proficient in warfare.

Family

His father was Mughira ibn Abd Ilah and his son was Khalid ibn al-Walid Fact|date=February 2007 and Ammarah ibn Walid The Sealed Nectar [http://www.sunnipath.com/Resources/PrintMedia/Books/B0033P0017.aspx] on sunnipath.com] . He also had a daughter named Najiyah bint al-Walid ibn al-Mughira who was married to Safwan ibn Umayya.

There was a person named Umar ibn Walid ibn Mughīrah, although it is unclear if he was the son of Walīd.
