Robin Nedwell (27 September 1946 - 1 February 1999) was an English actor. He was well-known for his role of "Duncan Waring" in the television and movie comedy series "Doctor in the House", having also starred in the television series, The Lovers, The Upchat Connection, and Shillingbury Tales.

He was born in Birmingham, England moving to Cardiff, Wales, with his family at an early age where he was educated at Cantonian High School. After leaving school he studied at University College Cardiff and joined the Welsh Theatre Company, and then trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama studying Stage Acting. He also starred in several films, among them Roman Polanski's The Tragedy of Macbeth.

Robin also became known later in his career for his performances on stage. He appeared in the West End in Brigadoon in 1989, and in 1992, played Max Detweiler in a British tour of The Sound of Music, a production that was also staged at Sadler's Wells. He also performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company during the 1995-1996 season, appearing in that year's productions of The Taming of the Shrew, Richard III, and Ben Jonson's comedy The Devil is an Ass.

In 1982, Nedwell married PR agent Heather Inglis, although the couple later separated. They had one daughter, Amie. He died in Southampton, England after suffering a heart attack. [ [http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/270324.stm "Doctor star Nedwell dies"] , "BBC News Online", 2 February 1999]
