Sisters of Adoration, Slaves of the Blessed Sacrament and of Charity

Sisters of Adoration, Slaves of the Blessed Sacrament and of Charity - is a Roman Catholic order founded in 1850 by Saint María Micaela of the Blessed Sacrament [http://www.feliceslosninos.org/en/nosotros/congregaciones.html#mariamicaela Felices los Niños Foundation] ] . Saint Maria Micaela founded the organization to help and rehabilitate former prostitutes, who suffered from the abuse, alienation and social exclusion in mid-19th century Madrid.

The principal aim of the Order was and still is to re-educate the deprived youth. They delare their mission is the adoration of Jesus in the Eucharist, encouraging freedom and promotion of women exploited by prostitution, redemption of the poor who are victims of vice and impurity. The deprived women are assisted in finding lodging and achieving family balance.

At present (by 2088) the congregation has about 1,300 religious in 22 countries (almost in all of Latin America, and also in Japan, Cambodia and Vietnam) [ [http://www.zenit.org/article-22884?l=english Draw Strength From Charism of Eucharistic Adoration, Zenit News Agency] ] . It is headed by Sister Aurelia Agredano.

It also takes part in fight against women trafficking.

The headquarters of the Order is located in Madrid.
