Genre(s) Sports Mode(s) Single-player, multiplayer Rating(s) NFL Street 3 is the third installment of the NFL Street Series which was released on November 11, 2006 for the PS2 and PSP. This time the player can perform jumping moves to get big air over opponents. This installment features more game modes and things to unlock. Chad Ochocinco of the Cincinnati Bengals appears on the cover and is the official spokesperson of the game. Clinton Portis also appears in the opening of the game.
Game modes
- Bank: A competition to earn the most style points.
- Play Elimination: The team begins the match with a specific amount of plays in the playbook, if the selected play does not gain any yards or results in negative yards the play is eliminated. This goes on until there are no plays left. You win by eliminating all of your opponent's plays and scoring a touchdown
- Pick-Up Game: Fill Up a Team with the NFL’s best stars. Schoolyard picks, either 40 random players, or all of them.
- Time Attack: A Mode where the player must score within the time limit of possession, if the player scores any remaining time will be added to the score.
- Yards for Points: Every yard you gain is a point. Every yard on a run play is worth 2 points, while every yard on a pass play is only worth one point. If a turnover occurs, then it subtracts points from the opponent's gain for that play, when the ball reaches the line of scrimmage, the opponent loses points from their total yards.
New features
- GameBreaker Moves: Now the player can perform specific Game Breaker Moves while on defense or offense like a Game Breaker Juke or a Lock On Tackle.
- Jumping: One of the new features of NFL Street 3 is the player can now jump off objects to go high in the air for a large gain. This adds a new dimension to the game of football.
- The NFL Legends team consists of Brett Favre (Green Bay Packers), Thurman Thomas (Buffalo Bills), Mike Ditka (Chicago Bears), Art Monk (Redskins), Dan Dierdorf (Cardinals), Reggie White (Eagles), Ray Nitschke (Packers), and Steve Atwater (Broncos).
- One cannot edit the info (such as their name, position, number, or hairstyle) of NFL players.

- Received award for Best Alternative Sports Game of 2006 for PlayStation 2 from IGN.
