Gerard Bancker

Gerard Bancker (sometimes in its Dutch form Gerardus Bancker) (1740 - 1799) was an American surveyor and politician.

Life

In 1774, as city surveyor, he made a map of St. George's Ferry on Nassau Island. [ [http://www.ushistoricalarchive.com/statemaps/ny/2.html The map, at U.S. Historical Archive] ]

He was Deputy Treasurer from 1776 to 1778, and New York State Treasurer from 1778 to 1798.
