Originally from Friendswood,Texas , she first came to national attention for her portrayal of Clara Johnson in the Broadway production, the livePBS broadcast, and the national tour of "The Light in the Piazza". She began performances on November 6, 2007, replacing Christina DeCicco, and is starring alongside Carmen Cusack as Elphaba. Clarke and Cusack are scheduled to leave the tour on November 2, 2008 according to talks at the stage door.She was profiled in "
