Do Ansoo, released in Pakistan on 7 April 1950, is the first film to attain a silver jubilee status.

Lahore-based productions established audience patronage in local theatres as Do Ansoo attained a 25-week viewing after being released on 7 April 1950, rending it the first ever film to attain a silver jubilee in the new industry.[citation needed] Starring Santosh Kumar, Ajmar, Sabiha Khanum and Allaudin, it marked a directorial success for Anwar Kamal Pasha. The music composed by Mubarak, became an instant hit and Sheikh Lateef's Naubahar Films reigned supreme as the most esteemed production studio of the time.
