Jackie Dingfelder is a Democratic member of the Oregon House of Representatives, representing District 45 of Northeast Portland. In the 2008 elections, she is running for the Oregon State Senate (District 23), seeking to replace retiring Senator Avel Gordly. Dingfelder won the Democratic Party's nomination in the primary election, but is facing a write-in campaign by Sean Cruz, a primary opponent and Senatory Gordly's chief of staff.

Dingfelder has a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography-Ecosystems Management from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master’s Degree in regional planning, with an emphasis on water resources management, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In the 2007-2008 session, Dingfelder chaired the House Energy and Environment Committee, and sat on the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee.
