Sonpari

Sonpari or The Golden Fairy is an Indian serial about the life of a girl named Frooti and how it changes when her mother dies. It used to air on Star Plus but now it airs on Disney Channel India at 7:30 pm everyday.

Plot

Frooti is very sad as her mother has just died. Her father wants to re-marry as he has fallen in love again. While Frooti is not against her father's re-marriage, her father's girlfriend hates Frooti and her brother. However, she gets solace from her chubby best friend, Jeff and an aunt like figure, Jennifer.

However, a fairy called Sonpari comes from outer space, along with her sidekick. Frooti makes friends with them and can always summon them by rubbing a magic ball. They try to help her drive her father's girlfriend away. Meanwhile the girlfriend's family wants her to marry someone richer, who turns out to be Sonpari's sidekick in disguise. However, soon Frooti's family members start hearing her conversations to an invisible woman, and things get worse when her father's scientists discover a potion that can see her...
