icupdate=John Joe Callanan was an Irish sportsperson. He played
hurling at various times with his local clubs Thurles Sarsfields in Clare and Collegians in Dublin. He also played hurling at inter-county level with both Tipperary and Dublin in the 1920s and 1930s. Callanan captained Tipperary to the All-Ireland title in 1930. He died December 19th 1970 and is buried in Killinan graveyard just north of Thurles.Teams
