39th Legislative Assembly of Ontario

The 39th Legislative Assembly of Ontario is the current legislature of the government of the Province of Ontario, Canada. It officially opened November 19, 2003, at Queen's Park in Toronto. The membership was set by the 2007 Ontario general election on October 10, 2007.

It is controlled by a Liberal Party majority under Premier Dalton McGuinty. The Official Opposition is the Progressive Conservative Party, led by John Tory. Since Tory does not have a seat in the legislature Bob Runciman is Leader of the Opposition in his place. The speaker is Steve Peters.
