Jorge Bechara first formal education in photography was at the tertiary course of Journalism which he attented at the Universidade da Cidade,
Rio de Janeiro , Brazil, in the 1980s. His interest in documentary photography began when he was the manager of media relations of MASP - São Paulo Museum of Art, under de direction of professorPietro Maria Bardi , and MAM - São Paulo Museum of Modern Art. From 1987 to 1993 he was Involved in the organization of exhibitions of the original work of some of the 20th century most prominent photographers, such asAugust Sander ,Lennart Nilsson ,Sebastião Salgado ,Henri Cartier-Bresson .
In parallel with his photographic work, Jorge Bechara has been writing for publications worldwide and teaching in established institutions.External links
