- Bill Kamal
, when he showed up to meet the boy at a restaurant. Detectives reported that at the time of his arrest, Kamal was in possession of toy water guns and condoms in his glove compartment. Police said Kamal also told officers his laptop has about a dozen pictures of underaged children having sex with adults.
During his trial, members of Kamal's family drove in from all over the country to support him and to speak on his behalf during the sentencing. At his sentencing, Kamal said he hoped he can restore his "goodness and purity." Kamal also claimed that he was set up by agents and was suffering from food poisoning on the day he first chatted with the fictional Billy. According to Kamal, the poisoning made him too confused to know what he was doing at the time. "God wants that pure and innocent person he created returned," Kamal pleaded during the trial. Kamal later pleaded guilty in a plea deal knowing that he could face up to 30 years with a five-year minimum mandatory sentence for child enticement. After sentencing, he said that he did not understand the criminal justice system and was forced to plead guilty and blamed his own legal team for misleading him.
The evidence against Kamal, however, was enough for
U.S. District Court Judge Moore to pass a sentence of five years in a federal prison with no possibility of parole, plus probation for life and a $40,000 fine. The evidence included transcripts of Kamal using the screen name, "Morethandick," and describing a number of explicit sexual acts to the agent whom he thought was a 14 year old boy. The agent consistently initiated contact with Mr. Kamal over the next week before asking him to come up and meet him.External links
