Richard A. "Rich" Baker, Jr. (born 1959) is the Republican nominee for the United States House of Representatives representing Massachusetts's 6th congressional district in the 2008 general election on November 4, 2008.
Biography
Rich Baker was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, the oldest of seven children. He was raised in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He attended high school at Keene High School and later went on to graduate from the University of New Hampshire. Mr. Baker attended graduate school at Harvard University and Franklin Pierce Law Center. He is an inventor of Ethernet and Web technologies with 15 US patents, an Intellectual Property Licensing Executive, and a Software Engineer. He has served on the Pentucket Regional School Committee (PRSC) and has served as chairman of a number of sub-committees. Mr. Baker brings years of solid experience in building organizations in the corporate world, both at 3Com Corporation and Schneider Electric, where he created a number of successful legal and engineering teams.POV-statement|date=July 2008
Rich Baker currently lives in West Newbury, Massachusetts with his wife Leisa and his son David. They attend Byfield Parich Church in Georgetown, Massachusetts. He is involved with the Toastmasters and the Licensing Executives Society.
