Lisa Bloom

Lisa Bloom (born 20 September 1961) is an American lawyer and host of the truTV series "Lisa Bloom: Open Court".

An alumna of UCLA and Yale Law School, she sued the Boy Scouts of America for sex discrimination on behalf of a girl who wanted to join the orgainization [ [http://www.dui1.com/DuiCaseLawDetail17877.htm "Yeaw v. Boy Scouts of America" 1997] ] . She has also filed suit against the Catholic Church in a child sexual abuse case, and the Los Angeles Police Department on several occasions. Licensed to practice law in New York and California, Bloom is the daughter of lawyer Gloria Allred.
