Lois Pines is a Democratic politician from Massachusetts.
She ran for Massachusetts Attorney General in 1998 against Thomas Reilly, also a Democrat. Pines has also served in the state legislature for a number of years. In 2002, Pines ran for Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor, but lost in the primary. She also ran for Lieutenant Governor, but was defeated in the Primary by John Kerry. she also was defeated for Secretary of State in the 1978 primary.[1]
Lois Pines is currently a director of the Federal Home Loan Bank in Boston.
Family
Pines is married to Dr. Joseph Pines, a pulmonologist who is assistant clinical professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and a senior physician at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, both in Boston. They reside in Newton.
