A. M. Zahiruddin Khan

A. M. Zahiruddin Khan (born July 5, 1936 - dead March 29, 2005) was a distinguished freedom fighter, industrialist and politician who hailed from one of Bangladesh's most influential families, the Khans of Chittagong. He is the son of former Pakistani industries minister A. K. Khan and uncle of former Bangladeshi foreign minister Morshed Khan.

From young age, Mr. Khan displayed a highly innovative and creative spirit. He was a gifted painter, eclectic designer poet an avid patron of the arts. He leaves behind his wife, two daughters and two sons, grandchildren, four brothers and four sisters, and a host of relatives, friends and well wishers.

He was buried at the family graveyard at Batali Hills, Chittagong with State Honour as a Freedom Fighter during the War of Liberation of Bangladesh.
