Aitor González Jiménez (born
February 27 1975 in Zumárraga, Basque Country), is a former professional Spanishroad bicycle racer , currently banned for two years for taking performance enhancing drugs.He turned professional in 1998 with
Avianca-Telecom ; his last team was theEuskaltel-Euskadi team. He won the 2002Vuelta a España with Team Kelme, after attacking his teammate leading the race, and is the 2005 winner of theUCI ProTour raceTour de Suisse . He also won 3 stages of 2002 Vuelta a España, 2 stages of 2002 Giro a Italia, 1 stage of 2003 Giro a Italia and 1 stage of 2004 Tour de France.Accomplishments
