The Yeshiva of Cape Town is a
kollel andyeshiva established in1994 . Its full title is "The Rabbi Cyril andAnn Harris Yeshiva of Cape Town", named for the lateChief Rabbi . It is based in the "Beit Midrash Morasha" community, in the suburb ofSea Point ,Cape Town .The Yeshiva's ideology is Religious Zionist / Centrist Orthodox. It is headed by
Rabbi Nachum Romm, and originally by Rabbis Jonathan Glass [http://www.torahmitzion.org/capeTown/section.asp] and Moshe Kornblum [http://www.orayta.org/staff.html] . Many of its students have studied athesder yeshivot. It served as the blueprint for the "Torah Mitzion" global Kollel initiative, now operating in some 25 cities.The Yeshiva provides "a depth and breadth of Torah study for the entire Cape Town community" [http://www.yeshiva.org.za/about.htm] . It operates a "chavruta" programme (partnered study) at various synagogues in the city. It has also partnered with
