The Westchester Yard aka Pelham Yard is a rail yard of the New York City Subway in the Bronx. It is home to the NYCS|6 train as well as Maintenace of Way diesel trains for both the A Division and B Division. The yard is extremely busy, serving up 40 trains of R142As, built by Kawasaki, for NYCS|6 service. The yard's 45 layup tracks are shared by 460 R142As and the diesel MoW trains. There is a 4 track inspection shed for electric trains and a 2 track diesel repair shop as well. Pelham Yard also hosts one of two wheel truing machines in the IRT, (239th Street Yard has the other) and a car wash used to keep a large portion of the A division fleet clean.
