Potapy Emelianov

Potapy Emelianov (1884, Ufa Guberniya, Russian Empire - August 14, 1936, Karelian ASSR) was a Russian Catholic priest and confessor. He was born into a family of Old Believers who later joined the Edinoverie. He was ordained to the priesthood of the Russian Orthodox Church and was assigned to Nizhnaya Bogdanovka, near Lugansk, Ukraine. In 1918, he with his entire parish were received into the Russian Catholic Church and underwent severe persecution from both the Red and White armies during the Russian Civil War.
