Government House, also known as Building No.1, Naval Station, Tutuila or Government House, U.S. Naval Station Tutuila was built in 1903 and is located in Pago Pago, American Samoa. It served as the home of the commander of the Navy station. Later, it served as the diplomatic center for United States relations throughout the South Pacific during WWI and WWII. It was handed over to the civilian governor of American Samoa for his residence in 1951.
It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1990.[citation|title=PDFlink| [http://pdfhost.focus.nps.gov/docs/NHLS/Text/72001443.pdf National Register of Historic Places Registration / National Historic Landmark Nomination: Government House, U.S. Naval Station Tutuila / Building No. 1] |32 KB|date=1990-03-16 |author=Erwin N.
