Rudy Thomas is a Kentucky poet.

Biography

Early life and education

Rudy Thomas was born in Springfield, Ohio to Maurice and Ruth Thomas.

Career

Rudy Thomas is an influential Kentucky and Appalachian poet and writer. He has written, or had his work published in many anthologies. At first Rudy only wrote poetry in German but later began writing in English after he had worked with Jim Wayne Miller, a professor of Literature and German at Western Kentucky University for 33 years, [ [http://www.jimwaynemiller.com/ Jim Wayne Miller ] ] during his time attending WKU. A former school superintendent and the Director of the Lindsey Wilson College Upward Bound program. He has been called a radical conservative for his political views.
