Introduction
Before SubViewer, the subtitles were known through DVD players. With time many videos did appear on Internet but only the most of the time in English. For David Dolinski, author of SubViewer, this was a good idea to create a video player but with a synchronized subtitle and this one in the language of user.
So in 1999, David Dolinski launches the first version of "SubViewer". This one had a very big success on Internet with millions of download on [http://www.dado.be http://www.dado.be] . Subtitle was born and used per the most of people at home!
Millions of subtitles was created by many users of "SubViewer" and later some DIVX Players will read this kind of subtitle.
In 2000, David Dolinski creates a new version of "SubViewer" with a new version of subtitle (2.0) (extension file ".sub") and a friend from him (name Brain) creates
SubRip with a new subtitle format with an extension file ".srt", these two formats are today the most used subtitles in the world! And if you read a manual of DIVX player, you will see that this DIVX player is compatible with .sub or ".srt" subtitle files.David Dolinski and Brain gained anything with its software except notoriety to be known in the world of subtitling.
