Drew started in radio at
Rollins College onWPRK 91.5. He was discovered by a WTKS-FMprogram director who hired him initially to work as a weekenddisc jockey from 7pm to midnight. Drew worked briefly as a producer forEd Tyll before becoming a producer for Jim Philips onThe Philips Phile WTKS-FM from 1996 to 1997.The Drew Garabo Show
In 1997 Drew began hosting his own show on WTKS-FM, initially filling the advertisement-light 12am-5am time slot, where the show remained for a year and a half and built a small but loyal audience known as "The Cult of Drew" [http://www.theslant.com/scene/articles/drew1.html] . When Ed Tyll left WTKS, "The Russ and Bo" show, which had formerly held the 7pm-11pm time slot, moved to the middays, and the newly renamed "Drew Show" moved to the 7pm-11pm time slot.
Drew is rumored to be the love child between Jim Philips and Moira of the Philips Phile show on WTKS. This would explain his affinity for the Jewish culture, the forementioned show and his success in all broadacasting endeavours.
In 2005, Drew moved to competing station
WOCL 105.9, eventually filling the morning drive time slot opened whenHoward Stern left terrestrial radio. At WOCL, Drew co-hosted "The Morning After Show" with another former WTKS personality (and formerMonsters in the Morning personality), "The Sexy Savannah". On January 4, 2008, WOCL announced a format change and let go most of the on-air talent. In March, 2008, Drew once again stepped behind the microphone and launched "The Drew Show" as a
